Hello, Spring! (New Look 6581)

I made my first wrap dress! Actually, this is my second wrap dress. I made the first one last week, and my sew-jo was alllllllll the way off. Let’s just blame daylight savings time for that. I’ll probably revisit that dress again and do some seam ripping because I loved the fabric. Thank goodness for seam rippers!

The fabric

This is another one of my Wal-mart finds. I got 3 yards for $8. It feels buttery soft. Pink is my favorite color, but yellow is definitely a close second. I just love how it pops against brown skin!

The pattern

I made New Look 6581 in view A, and I cut size 20. I did not do any grading or adjustments. It’s a really quick and easy project. I probably could’ve completed it in one night, but a girl has to wake up early for work in the morning.

Final thoughts

I definitely will be making this again because I love a good wrap dress. Happy Spring everyone! Until next time!
